How to maintain the saxaphone?

There are a lot of customer bring along with dear own saxaphone to our outlet

said need to do the service , but we are realise that most of them do not know how to maintain it .

how to maintain the saxaphone , let your instrument can last for longer ?

First you need to use the Clean paper and powder paper to clean or absorb the saliva from the hole after blowing ever times.

and using cloth to absorb the saliva inside the body.

please do polish the saxaphone every month to avoid the oxidation.

And using the "key oil" once a month.

above is a basic maintenance knowledge to sharing.

btw how about flute?
my flute is Premo USA flute.
everytime i polish it with YAMAHA Silver Polish.. a day or 2, some part will be dirty? or kinda black thing. guess it is dust or something?
but i scared this polish cant be used to polish my flute.
scare will broke!

first we need to know the "body"of your instrument, in the market ,

there are "Lacquer", "Silver" and Nickel Sirver" Body

so difference body is using difference Polishing Cream


Second.If you are stay in Malaysia , we are advise you bring your flute come over to our shop.it is more easy for us to advise you.
otherwise , without see through the Flute ,we are afraid to give you incorrect suggestion.

In Malaysia, humidity is high. Your silver plated instrument will get corroted and oxidised. The surface will become tarnished and turn black.
The best way to avoid this is to clean up finger marks with soft cloth and keep it in the case every time finish using.
Polishing can be done by using silver cloth to lightly rub on the keys and body to remove the tarnish. Care must be taken not to bent the keys, damage pads and avoid dropping of key cork at the end of every keys.

General service and set up is needed every 2 years.
