Mitsuo Nonami is no longer stranger to Malaysia and its tight community of musicians. This renowned band clinician is synonymous with the development of the high school band movement. For the past 35 years, he has traveled all over Malaysia to train school bands. The impact of his tireless effort is far-reaching and spans several generations.

In fact, this upcoming tribute concert will feature some of Mr. Nonami's compositions including the award-winning Prelude To Return along with For Wonderful Friendship, My Love and Cha Cha Flamenco. It will also feature his arrangements of classics such as Love is a Many-Splendoured Thing and Rasa Sayang.

For those whose lives have been touched by Mr. Nonami, it was never just about the music but rather the friendship gained from making music together. Music knows no barriers and he is the living proof of that.
